Anwar Abdillah

Welcome to my profile. My first in touch with web design was when I am a Web Server Administrator at a startup IT Company, back in 2003. I’m not a hardcore developer, but familiar with Linux, cPanel, and popular web platforms (e.g. WordPress, Joomla, Prestashops, etc.). I am passionate about my job and my personal contribution to the world of modern web design. I like nothing more than telling stories with the help of photography, that celebrate simplicity and creativity.

I also had experience in setting up, opening, and managing two Cyber Cafes (emiNET Cafe – internet & coffee house) in 2007 until 2009, and then made a Chinese Food Outlet (HOTPLATE Inc. -the hotter the better) at Kemang Food Fest, Jakarta in 2008 until 2014.

My other field of experiences was journalistic, which started from becoming a member of Suara Mahasiswa UI in 1997. Suara Mahasiswa published an annual students magazine, and a daily bulletin “bergerak!” in 1998 Indonesian political history era. In 1999, I had an internship at Dana Pensiun Bakrie, became a writer for their annual magazine. I also had experiences in publishing some magazines, such as Figur Publik Magazine, Depok Metro Magazine, and TaSYA Kids Magazine, from 2003 until 2007. Lastly, I was teaching News Writing at State University of Jakarta from 2007 until 2009 as a non permanent lecturer.

Whitelily Studio was established in 2012 at Jakarta, Indonesia. But, now I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
